Who can use this feature?

You can only delete a message, document or image you’ve sent in a chat. Deleted messages will be removed for everyone in the chat.

What to expect:

• You can only delete messages that you sent.

• When you delete a message, your message will be replaced with "This message was deleted"

• You can delete text, image and document messages.

• You can only delete messages in chats where you are an active participant. If you leave a chat or are uninvited you will not be able to delete messages.

• You can see more details of when a message was deleted by hovering over the message and clicking on details. You will still be able to see who read the message before it was deleted.

• You cannot reply to a deleted message.

• For compliance purposes, deleted messages can be reviewed by auditors.

How to delete a message:

On web:

1. Hover over the message you wish to delete (remember you can only delete messages that you sent).

   

2. Click on Delete.

3. Confirm you wish to delete the message. Please note, this action cannot be undone.

4. Your message will be replaced with "This message was deleted"

On mobile:

1. Locate the message you wish to delete.

2. Tap and hold the message. A menu will appear.

3. Tap on Delete.

4. Confirm you wish to delete the message. Please note, this action cannot be undone.

5. Your message will be replaced with "This message was deleted"
