Who can use this feature?
System administrators only
Every firm is different. We understand the importance of your brand, but also internal policies that you need to follow and and terms and conditions which all your users may need to consent to. That is why we allow you to customise these easily.
When an organisation is first setup, a generic brand and colour is setup, with default security settings and standard terms and conditions. You may want to change the brand and leave the other two unchanged or change all three. This may also be done over time as your needs change.
Who can change customise the settings? Only the highest level. System administrators in your organisation are the only users who can change these settings. Note that settings and certain customisation options are only available for Business and Enterprise Plans.
What to expect?
Brand: Adding your brand will not only make your chat space look and feel more professional but will give your users more confidence to engage with you via a chat. The new logo and colours will apply to all users once you implement them.
Butler and Banner: Add a welcome message to clients via the Butler which is received as soon as they accept the invitation and access the platform. In addition, customise the dashboard banner with information of the company, links to portals you use or the latest news - this can be updated as often as you need.
Terms of use: Every user will accept two sets of terms of use. Qwil Messenger's for the use of the service and more importantly yours. If you change your pre-set terms, every user will need to accept before continuing to use the app. Getting consent from all users is critical for data privacy regulation. We make it easy for you.
Security settings: We call them BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) settings as they refer to what staff can or cannot do on their mobile devices. As many firms now allow staff members to use their own personal devices, controlling what data is downloaded or uploaded on the device is key. Any changes to BYOD settings will apply to all staff.
Change your logo and colours
It is amazing how adding your logo and colours will immediately make it yours. The colours and logos you choose will affect a number of items, like your:
Chat bubbles on mobile devices
Buttons and links on mobile devices
Headings in your web app
Organisation emails sent from Qwil Messenger (such as invitation emails)
Butler and Banner customisation
You can now customize your user dashboards with a personalized announcement banner. This feature is perfect to include a welcome message, links to your client portal for easy reference, inform clients of your latest news, contact info (address or opening time) or provide specific instructions to staff.
Easy for your users to find and for you to update. This Banner can be updated as many times as you want and will refresh automatically for all users.
Update your Terms and Conditions
Every user that you invite to your organisation on Qwil Messenger must accept your terms of usage. If they don't accept, they don't come in. The key here is that you have an active consent for all users and know when they have accepted.
If your terms change you can update them easily, and your new terms will replace any previous terms you may have had and every existing user will have to accept your new terms in order to continue using Qwil with your organisation.
So what should be in the Terms and Conditions? Our template has been drafted to banking app standards but catering for our 2 user types, staff and clients. We have included details on the scope of the service, responsibilities of users, security guidelines and acceptable use. For the large majority of our customers, no change is needed. If you do want to update, we recommend amending the template and referring to your additional policies.
Adjust your security / BYOD settings
We recommend you read our guide How to make BYOD work for your company before making changes.
Protecting your data is critical which is why you may already be using remote access on desktops restricting the documents that can be taken out of the company network. The biggest challenge when staff use their personal devices is remaining in full control of your company data.
The setting below apply to all staff users within your organisation and prevent data (whether text, documents, pictures etc) to be imported and exported on a mobile device. Staff users can use these functions on desktop app or browser instead.
Allow staff copy/paste
Allow staff to import documents
Allow staff to export documents
Allow staff to call or email contacts
Allow staff users to use the mobile app offline
Qwil Messenger includes a number of advanced security features that are designed for the protection of sensitive corporate data for organisations.
These settings include:

These controls are turned on by default for Enterprise customers and can be changed according to your policies. Note that clients are not restricted as it is their data and their device.
